The 600 room Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort is 19 miles east of the San Juan Airport, on the beautiful palm shaded Rio Mar Beach. Nearby is El Yunque Caribbean Rain Forest. Westin Rio Mar, situated
on 500 acres of beachfront in Rio Grande on a scenic beachfront site that
borders the Atlantic Ocean along the Northeast Coast of Puerto Rico. It has 94
rooms and suites overlooking Rio Mar Beach and the lush El Yunque National Park.
It is a highrise with a Caribbean manor house design.
Activities
at the Westin Rio Mar include parasailing, scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling,
kayaking and wave running. The Club Iguana, Westin Kid's Club offers supervised
children's activities for youngsters from 4 to 12 years. Babysitting is also
available at an extra charge.
The
luxurious air conditioned rooms and suites feature "Heavenly Beds":
one king or two double beds in each bedroom. Rooms are equipped with a hair
dryer, coffee maker, iron and board, computer dataport, mini bar, in room safe,
and television with video games. Resort Rooms are on the lower floors.
Mountainview Rooms have a panoramic view. Oceanview Rooms face the beach and the
ocean. Oceanfront Rooms face the ocean and the beach.
An
optional meal plan including full breakfast and dinner is US$ 109 per person for
those 13 years or older. Three meals daily meal plan is US$ 139 daily in
addition to the room rates. Children 6-12 years pay half of the adult rate for
the optional meal plans.
