The way the outside agent program works is like this:
Membership dues are $200 per year, once paid you will be listed with our tour
operator partners booking systems as a Escape to Eden Vacations travel agent.
You will be sent a training manual with in depth information on how to develop
your new business, attract clients, make reservations, busines tips, etc. You will
also receive a
CLIA travel agent ID. With this ID you will qualify for discounts at many
hotels, airlines, cruiselines. Details on discounts come with the welcome kit.
You will also be eligible for discounted trips known in the travel industry as
FAM TRIPS (short for Familiarization Trips). These are trips that are offered by
hotels/airlines/tourist boards/cruise lines as a way for Travel Agents to become
acquainted with their products and then sell them to prospective clients. You
can obviously sell a hotel/island/cruise better if you have experienced it first
hand. These "Fam Trips" are very inexpensive (from free to $49 and up)
and include airfare, hotel and most if not all meals when staying at an
all-inclusive and very often tours and sightseeing. Often times the host resorts
are 4 and 5 star luxury all-inclusive resorts like (Sandals, SuperClubs,
Couples). These
resorts also offer free nights based on productivity, in other words you
"earn" free nights based on how many nights you personally or your
agency sells. An example is Couples Resorts which offers 1 free night for the
agent for every 7 nights sold.
Now these trips are offered as a way for you to earn extra income as an Outside
Agent for Escape to Eden Vacations by acquainting yourself with the destinations
we offer. "Fam Trips" are available throughout the year to many
different locations. All affiliates will receive monthly updates on any Fam
Trips being offered. The more you travel, the more you should be able to sell
with the knowledge you acquire. The welcome kit comes with business cards and
flyers for you to get the word out that you are now an "Official Travel
Agent" and can sell packages to the Caribbean, Mexico, Cruises and even
Europe and Africa. The kit also has tips and ideas on how to create small
groups, market yourself and get clients to bring in good money while only
working part time. Escape to Eden Vacations agents are on call every business
day to assist you with reservations and any questions you may have.
The commissions paid to the Affiliate Agent are as follows (a $200 commission is
used as an example):
25% - Affiliate refers travel to E E Inc (agent
receives $50)
50% - Affiliate books travel with the assistance of a E E
Inc professional (agent receives $100)
70% - Affiliate books travel without the assistance of a E
E Inc professional (agent receives $140)
