Located on a private beach five miles east of Sangster International
Airport and 10 miles from Montego Bay town center. The area is quiet and
lined with hotels (Sandals Royal Jamaican, Holiday Inn, Half Moon and
Wyndham Rosehall), villas and shopping centers.
Coyaba is family built, family owned and family operated.
Proprietors/managers live on the property. All new construction, opened
in August 1994.
Fifty individual hotel rooms are contained on four acres of private
beachfront property. No kitchenettes. No apartments.
The rooms at Coyaba are furnished in plantation style with hand carved
furniture, Schumacher fabrics and Italian tile. All rooms have french
doors leading to oversized private balconies. Some have floor to ceiling
windowed dining alcoves, "junior suites" sitting areas, rattan
chairs, four poster beds, vaulted 17 foot ceilings on the top floors.
All rooms have air conditioning, telephone, ceiling fan, hair-dryer,
satellite TV, VCR, clock-radio, coffee maker, iron and ironing board.
Cribs and additional beds are available upon request for a nominal fee.
Junior Suites are oversized rooms with king or queen beds, sofa seating
areas (some sleepers) and mini-refrigerators. Deluxe rooms have king or
two double beds. Connecting rooms are available in Junior Suites to
Deluxe combinations.
Coyaba consists of three buildings, each three stories high with no
elevators. The buildings are situated in a triangle facing a private
beach with a landscaped courtyard in the center. The property is located
oceanside, has a swimming pool, heated jacuzzi, a lunch grill, a dining
area and a bar, a private lighted dock, a sun deck, watersports and a
gazebo. A fitness gazebo and a lighted tennis court being on either side
of the courtyard. The Lobby and Vineyard Restaurant opens to the garden.
Best suited for small groups, wedding parties, executive corporate
retreats and seminars. The Plantation Room (approximately 625 square
feet) accommodates 25 boardroom, 40 classroom, 60 theatre-style. Smaller
areas are available for gatherings, break-out rooms and private
receptions.
