Coyaba means "heaven" in the Arawak Indian language. Right on Grand Anse Beach--certainly a heavenly spot--Coyaba is a comfortable, good-value hotel. You'll find complimentary non-motorized, watersports equipment, tennis, volleyball, a pool with Grenada's only swim-up bar, and dining in a bamboo-walled restaurant or on the terrace. Rooms, decorated with natural wood and Arawak-inspired folk art, are in several peach-pink, two-story buildings that surround 5-1/2 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens; the beach is just beyond the gardens. There's musical entertainment several nights a week.
